SpeedBox 1.2 Tuning Chip for Shimano E8000 / E7000 / E6100 / E5000

SpeedBox 1.2 is a redesigned tuning chip for e-bikes with Shimano E8000, E7000, E6100 and E5000 motors, with new hardware and firmware. It removes the speed limiter; the display shows actual speed up to 23 km/h.

It can be controlled with the LIGHT button: tuning is on when the lights are off and off when the lights are on. If the red wire is left unconnected during installation, or the bike has no lights, tuning is active at all times. This version does not connect to the SpeedBox Connect app.

This version plugs into the motor's E-Tube port, so your motor needs one free E-Tube port. If it does not have one, choose the + E-Tube Port variant (SB12-S+ETP).

Compatibility

• Shimano E8000, E7000, E6100 motors with a free E-Tube port
• Not compatible with motors without a free E-Tube port (use SB12-S+ETP)
• Not compatible with the SpeedBox Connect app

Good to Know

• Bikes usually without a free E-Tube port: those with Di2 electronic shifting, those with a tube-integrated Satellite System ON/OFF switch (EW-SW100, EW-SW300), and all E5000 bikes. These need SB12-S+ETP.

Legal and Safety Notice

This tuning chip changes the e-bike's factory speed limit and assistance settings. A modified e-bike may not be legal to ride on public roads, cycle paths or other public areas; SpeedBox products are intended for use on private property, at the rider's own risk.
