SpeedBox 1.0 Tuning Chip for Brose / Specialized Motors (Universal, Cut-Wires Install)

SpeedBox 1.0 is a tuning chip for e-bikes with Brose motors, including Brose SPECIALIZED systems. Once fitted it removes the factory speed limiter and is active at all times, with no activation sequence to remember.

This is the universal version, installed by cutting and connecting the motor wiring, and is the version required for Specialized SL motors. The display shows actual speed up to 18 km/h, then holds that value at higher speeds. This version does not connect to the SpeedBox Connect app.

Good to Know

• Before updating the e-bike's software, uninstall SpeedBox, complete the update, then reinstall it. Updating firmware with the chip fitted can make the chip inoperable.
• On a new bike, ride at least 10 km before the chip is activated.
• A plug-in version with connectors is available as SB1-BRO-S-C (not for Specialized SL).

This tuning chip changes the e-bike's factory speed limit and assistance settings. A modified e-bike may not be legal to ride on public roads, cycle paths or other public areas; SpeedBox products are intended for use on private property, at the rider's own risk.
