Pedro's Chain Keeper - Quick-Release Dummy Hub for Cleaning and Travel

Taking the rear wheel out makes a bike much easier to clean, but the chain then drops onto the frame. The Pedro's Chain Keeper takes the place of the rear wheel, holding the chain under tension and clear of the frame.

The drivetrain can still turn fully forwards or backwards, which is ideal for cleaning and lubing, and it also protects the chain and frame when the bike is stored or transported with the wheel removed.

How to Use

1. Shift the rear derailleur to the highest gear (smallest rear cog) and remove the rear wheel.
2. Position the Chain Keeper beneath the upper run of chain, with the quick-release lever facing the drive side.
3. Push it up into the dropout as you would a wheel, pivoting the derailleur back if needed.
4. Tighten the nut and close the quick-release lever to secure it.
